Albert J. Garcia, CPA Resident Manager/Auditor

Mr. Garcia received a graduate degree in Accounting from the University of Houston – Clear Lake in 1997 and was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in 2004. Mr. Garcia has 25 years experience in accounting and manages audits and other attest engagements for school districts, title insurance companies, non-profits, and various other types of entities.

Mrs. Jones has been in public accounting since January 2000 and is experienced in tax preparation, bookkeeping and accounting for various types of entities.

Ms. Toups received degrees in Accounting and Finance from the University of Houston – Clear Lake in 2010 and has been in public accounting since February 2011. She is currently a candidate to sit for the CPA exam.

Yazmin Benavides, Assurance Staff

Ms. Benavides received a degree in Accounting from the University of Houston – Downtown in 2015 and has been in public accounting since March 2016.

Charles Lumpkin, Assurance Staff

Mr. Lumpkin received a degree in Accounting from the University of Houston – Clear Lake in 2020 and has been in public accounting since September 2022. He began his accounting career preparing tax returns where he gained a wealth of knowledge and experience. He looks forward to seeing where his career path takes him and is goal is to help others where they need it most.

Mr. Garcia received a degree in General Business Administration from Sam Houston State University in 2020 and is currently pursuing a Masters of Science in Accounting from the University of Houston - Clear Lake. He has been in public accounting since June 2022.

Sheilly Parikh, Assurance Staff

Ms. Parikh received a degree in Accounting from the University of Texas - Arlington in 2009 and has been in public accounting since May 2023. Her early career included supporting government and internal audits, assisting with fraud investigations, and providing consulting services related to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance for public companies.

Shelly Johnson, CPA

Ms. Johnson received her undergraduate degree in accounting from University of Houston – Clear Lake. With over 30 years of combined accounting, tax and auditing experience, Shelly began her career in project accounting and later transitioned into public accounting in June 2000. She has been licensed as a Certified Public Accountant for 12 years. She enjoys teaching others what she has learned and helping others reach their goals.

Jordan Hrabina, Office Administrator

Mrs. Hrabina has been in public accounting since April 2008 and performs various administrative tasks for the office, including assisting clients. She plays a primary role in ensuring that all office administrative functions are coordinated to achieve a high level of productivity within the office.

Randi Turman, Administrative Assistant

Mrs. Turman has been in public accounting since July 2019 and performs secretarial duties including processing tax returns, document management and assisting clients. She also has experience in Human Resources.

David C. Start, Jr. CPA – Consultant

Mr. Start received undergraduate and graduate degrees from Rice University. With over 40 years experience in public accounting, David began his career as an auditor in an internationally-known public accounting firm in Houston, before opening his own firm in Baytown over thirty-five years ago. He has served on the Peer Review and Major Case Committees of the Texas State Board of Accountancy.
